Today Cass discovered his reflection in the refrigerator. I don't think he realizes it is him. He kept trying to grab or kiss the "baby in the fridge". It was so funny!

Still a little guy!!
Chris hasn't given up on his dream of Cass becoming an NFL linebacker, because the doctor said that until a child is 2 or 3 you can't really tell how big they may be; however, the doctor did seem to be encouraging Chris to hope for a kicker or quarterback instead. I suggested Cass may end up being the right size to be a horse jockey. :) While the doctor and Chris both seem to think my genes are the reason Cass seems to be petite, I must point out that I was a pudgy baby and Chris was a skinny baby (in his baby pictures he looks just like Cass), so who knows, he may grow up to be like Daddy after all!

Baptism
Here are a couple pictures and a video clip from Casimiro's baptism Saturday night. There were 2 other kids baptized the same night (the random guy in the plaid shirt in the video is the other kids' dad). Cass was fussy during most of the church service and was crying while the other kids got baptized, but as soon as the priest held Cass, he got quiet and just gazed up at her. You can't really tell from this video, but he kept trying to grab her face. He also got to take his first communion - he isn't ready to eat the cracker yet, but they dabbed a little wine on his lips. It was really neat, he was really quiet during the whole communion and just took it all in. And of course, his mommy got a little teary-eyed. :)

Bath
Here's a video of Cass taking his bath tonight. Instead of bath toys like a rubber ducky, he prefers to suck on the wash cloth, so I've learned to bring an extra one with us to the bath tub every night. He is definitely becoming more active. This weekend he got himself into the sitting position on his own (he's been sitting for a while now, but he hasn't been able to transfer from all fours to sitting until now). And, he has discovered electrical outlets . . . we had a close call tonight - I was putting laundry in and he was on the floor beside me rolling around. I saw him reach up to touch the outlet, so I rushed to grab his hand and got it just in time before he could stick his finger in the outlet - unfortunately the cup of laundry detergent I was holding ended up on the floor. So, we have a sudsy mess of detergent in our carpet. I guess it's time to childproof!!
