Shopping

This picture is a little blurry - apparently either Cass or the shopping cart was moving. Anyway, he's a big boy now and can sit in the shopping cart on his own. I'm a complete "germ-a-phobe", so I got this great shopping cart / high chair cover for him. We were in BJ's (which is like a Costco), and I just had to snap a picture of this milestone. I'm sure people can tell this is our first baby - how many moms snap pictures of their kids in shopping carts??!! :)

Green beans . . .everywhere!!!

Cass likes to try and feed himself, so I let him . . . I have to hold the end of the spoon lightly because he forgets to keep holding on to it and will drop it after he takes a bite. He has a little work to do as you can tell by the picture. Poor little guy had green beans from head to toe. We went straight to the bathtub after dinner!

Tickle

Cass is super ticklish - here's some footage of Daddy tickling him this morning.

Poo Face

Chris and I think this is hilarious - it's the warning sign that Cass gives us so that we know it's time to play "rock, paper, scissors" to determine who has to change the diaper. :)

Almost 8 months old

Hi there! Cass will turn 8 months old this week . . . I can't believe it, the time has gone so fast! It was a big week for him this week - his 2 bottom teeth broke through, and he got up on all fours for the first time on Wednesday!! He will only do it when he's completely naked though - I guess the diaper and clothes make him too bulky to do it when he's clothed. :) Here's me and the litte guy yesterday before we went to run errands with daddy. We went to a consignment sale last week (LOVE those sales - as you all know we are super frugal, and I love feeling like I get a good deal on his clothes because he gets them so dirty with his food and grows out of them so fast) - here's one of the shirts we got - he's dressed like daddy dresses for work, I thought it was cute.

By the way, those of you who asked for an update on the cloth diapers . . . I love them! The BumGenius ones are my favorite, they are made out of microfiber and are super soft and absorbent. They are bulky and make his tush big, but that's a good thing for us because he's so skinny we have a hard time finding pants that fit him.

We've gone "green"!!

I NEVER thought I would use cloth diapers. However, as Cass has gotten older his diapers aren't nearly as disgusting (or frequent) as they used to be, so I'm giving it a try. I figured it's better for the environment, better for Cass, and better on the pocket book. There's a company that has a trial package where you get a variety of different types of cloth diapers to try out, and if you use them and don't like them you can return them and get a refund (for any moms that see this that are interested, check out jilliansdrawers.com)! This is our first day of trying them, so we had a little fashion show. I think they are so cute, they are basically just little bloomers. :)

Rolling

I was trying to get a picture of Cass this afternoon, and he would not sit still! As you can tell, he was rolling all over the place and "reading" his book.
