Gangsta'

Chris and I have been running our weekend errands today. On the way to Target, Cass was in the backseat just squealing and have a great time playing with his toys. When I went to get him out of the car, I found him like this . . . in all his fun he had gotten his hat turned sideways. He's our little "gangsta'". :)

Swim Lessons (again!)

Daddy thought it was silly that Cass was already taking swimming lessons, so we brought him with us last Friday so he could see how much Cass liked it. Unfortunately, there was a 2 year old in our class that had been "demoted" from her toddler class to our Tadpole class because she was terrified of the water. She was right beside Cass and completely freaked out when she got in the water. Once she started crying, Cass got upset and he was fussy during the rest of the class. So, I still don't think Daddy is convinced that he enjoys the class! I promise though, he loved his first class and was happy last week up until the 2 year old freaked out. (By the way, her mom told me it's good that Cass is starting so young, because the reason her daughter was so scared is that she hadn't started classes young enough - hopefully that was enough proof for Chris to realize this is worth it). Anyway, here's a clip of him swimming when he isn't too fussy.

Bath Time

Cass finally has hair, so tonight in the bathtub we were experimenting with different hairstyles. :)

As you can see by his bathtub picture, he always has a foot close by so he can put it in his mouth at a moment's notice (no matter how awkward or uncomfortable he has to sit to get to it).

Swimming Lessons

Cass and his buddy Bennett started swimming lessons today - it was so much fun! I didn't know what to expect - I was worried he would freak out when he got in the water, but he loved it. It was hilarious, he kept laughing and making his high-pitched screaching noise in the pool. He practiced kicking and floating, splashing, blowing bubbles in the water, playing with a ball, and even going under water!! I was nervous when the instructor told me to dunk him under the water, but he wasn't even phased. The instructor said that it's a natural instinct for babies to hold their breath under water, and it proved to be true. We'll be going to swimming lessons every Friday now, so it will be fun to see what he'll be able to do after a few months of the lessons.

Picture Day

Cass had his pictures today, but it didn't go so well . . . he's starting to get "stranger anxiety", and didn't want to smile at the photographer. So, I just had to take a picture of him all dressed up in his little man vest when we got home.

This morning Cass and I went for a walk - he loves cruising around in the jogging stroller and taking in all the sights!
